Trail Life Troop AL-0236 hosted the annual Alabama River Area Fall Fellowship at Blessings Farm near Greenville, AL.
Woodlands Trailmen (ages 5-10) completed several steps related to First Aid. All activities occurred outside and included demonstrations of the techniques discussed. In addition, they played multiple games, including Gaga Ball, Kickball, Tetherball, Capture the Flag, and more.
Navigator and Adventurer Trailmen (ages 11-17) completed several requirements for the First Aid Badge by training in Bleeding Control, Allergic Reactions, Scene Safety, First Aid for Temperature Related Injuries, Splinting-Slings-Bandaging, and Transporting Victims. They then engaged in competitions consisting of Anaphylaxis and Open Leg Fracture, Hypothermia and Broken Arm, Twisted ankle and Heat Exhaustion, and more.
Men and boys camped in a nearby primitive setting, learning about living without electricity and running water. The lack of modern amenities did not prevent Trailmen from eating great food and having a great time. The weather was great, cool at night and warm in the afternoon. Sunday morning worship was led by Aubry H. with songs led by Atticus H.
Participants earned a patch and pin to remember the occasion. Photos from the event can be viewed in the
